Gardening....and engagements

Today we were inspired to finally pretend to be real gardeners. Perhaps it was sitting on the step the other night and saying yes when a shiny diamond appears (yeah!) We even went out and bought weed fabric, new plants and wood chips...boy did I ever feel grown up. (especially with my new engagement ring on my finger!) This is the result! Everybody helped out, even Anthony lugged rocks from the back yard:) The whole yard, front and back, is like one big weed party and since I only know how to keep indoor plants alive this mini project will be the test to see if we should tackle the rest of the garden next year! I also bought some calla lilies. Since they can be an indoor plant too I thought they were a safe bet for me to keep alive. Plus they are very pretty. I like them so much that I think perhaps they might make an appearance at a wedding next spring...
