The last week....or so

The last week things in Calgary have been warming up. The sun has been shining, it has been warm and that makes me want to plant things. We have a great yard, but it hasn't been looked after for quite some time and we felt very ambitious last year to do it all, however, we just aren't around enough in the summer to put in the time to work on it. We've decided to just work on the front yard and plant a veggie garden in the back. Hopefully the plants that dad and Kate bought us last spring when they came to visit will come back, and I've started some new bulbs too in our sun room for now, until we know for certain it won't snow again (it could tonight - the temperature has dropped 15 degrees in just a couple of hours and it's raining so....)

The top pot is Amethyst and the bottom is daylily, heuchera (?) and hostas. They've grown so fast since we bought them, I love watching things grow. Our house is so full of houseplants because I love them, it's a little out of control! One day I'll take a picture of them.

You can't have plants without pots! It's kind of like fabric, I like just having them but also eventually using them. Last weekend Gord and Anthony went garage saleing and bought me a couple at basement bargain prices!! They look so pretty in the sun room!
