Beautiful Fall

The last couple of weeks have been busy and fun...here's the happening's in the Bunting/Cummings soon to be Cumming's (7 months today) house... Our friend Julie from Golden was in town and after dinner at one of our favorite places, Boccavinio, we played Pandemic and failed to save the world from deadly disease and destruction. Oh well. Gord borrowed an accordion from a co-worker...who doesn't love an accordion?! And what could be more fun then a one man band show with home made harmonica and a very loud, unfamiliar instrument? Actually, he grasped the concept really well and is very interested and we just may sign him up for some lessons! Gord's mom and dad, Debbie and Marvin came last weekend for a night before we all headed up to Edmonton for Gord's grandma's surprise 85th birthday. I took no pictures of the actual party, just the night before of Anthony practicing his drama skills. We are finally getting our summer, in fall. It has been beautiful here the past few days and basically warmer than it has been all summer long. Usually in fall just as the leaves start to change colour it snows and/or a wind storm comes along and we don't get to see any of the pretty leaves. I can't remember the last time fall looked like fall - it's so pretty! So we had to take advantage not just from our car windows, so we went for a walk in the Bird Sanctuary and saw lots and lots of deer. I made another messenger bag for a former co-worker. I think it might be the best one yet, it's very solid and as far as I can see I didn't make any mistakes! Perhaps I will make one for myself... Last night I got a new baking magazine, just in time for the holidays! I want to make everything in it so I'm afraid I might have to consider quitting my job to bake all day. I also got a new cookbook that was highly recommended. I usually find recipes on line but this looked too good and easy to pass up! I don't mean to be the crazy cat person, but I just might be and why fight it? The cats have officially settled in, we can tell because of the little belly that Calypso has grown! These two are trouble! Although they are still nibbling at plants (seizure count:1) at least the pooping in the plants has stopped and for that I am grateful.
Off to bake!!
