After our bust of a camping trip, we've been laying pretty low, but there has been some happenings....exciting may not be the word to describe what we've been up to but it is what it is. There was a huge hail storm that caused a lot of damage to a lot of peoples cars and homes etc. We escaped, although the garden did not:( but this is the smaller other hail storm. Alberta is soooo lovely in the summer! I also made a blueberry pie.....And I started sewing some things to hopefully get a bit of a collection together to go to a Christmas craft sale and see if I can make some money off this little hobby! This is one set of coasters I made. So far I have a couple of coaster sets, some little pouches, a couple of messenger bags and an almost done baby quilt. There's a looong way to go! Probably the most exciting news, following some sad news, is that we got two new cats. Our little cat Maceo had to be put down unexpectedly and the house was feeling very very lonely with out an animal. So, this past Sunday we went to the Humane Society and found two new furry friends. These two were found abandoned in a box together but from their sweet and gentle personalities you'd never know they were mistreated so badly. The dark one is Kraven and the lighter one is Calypso. If you know anything about Spiderman (I sure didn't) you might recognize these names as a couple of his villians. That sums up August!
